We are back from our Midwest Summer Tour! Yes, I know it has been a while since I have posted anything and you all are dying for some pictures. Well, you are in luck. My dear friend, Robin, sent me my camera charger, it is now charged and the pictures are uploaded. However, it is late and I will post the pictures later this week. Ok, I can do one teaser.

Holy Batman, Claire is 6 months!
Wow! I can't believe our baby is 6 months; it seems, literally, like she should only be 3 months old.
Anyway, here are some interesting facts about our little baby girl:
1. She can roll over from tummy to back and back to tummy. She has been rolling over from tummy to back since she was 3 months old, but just last week started rolling over back to tummy. Now, we have to watch out because she uses this new talent to move all over the floor. Olivia rolled over, but she never used it to move around, she was pretty stationary.
2. She absolutely hates, I mean abhors, her exersaucer, bumbo seat, jumperoo, car seat, and stroller. She prefers to be held or on the ground. So, this has been difficult to get things done, working on building her core stomach muscles, and going places. We do not get out much because she screams almost the Whole. Entire. Time. We are in the car or walking in the stroller.
3. She no longer sleeps through the night. Back in April, I think it was late April, I took her into the doctor because she was running a high fever and did so for 6 days. When I took her in they said everything sounded and looked fine. I think the fever was teething related. Anyway, during the time she had the fever, she was up every 3 hours or so feeding, and she just hasn't left that mode. We are working on the cry it out method, and as much as Jonathon hates it, it has to be done. She has to teach herself to go back to sleep on her own and not depend on us, more specifically me, to do so.
4. She is a chatty-cathy. This girl loves to squeal and scream. It is so funny to hear because Olivia has been relatively quiet, up until now with her ear piercing screams of joy/excitement, and Jonathon and I just crack up at her.
5. We have started rice cereal and I have introduced 3 solid foods to her. She likes the rice cereal, but would rather nurse. The solid foods, she could care less about. She really will not open her mouth to eat and I have to make her smile, or, more often than not, I use Olivia, so I can shovel the food in her mouth. In this aspect, she is like her big sister. Olivia hated baby food and preferred table food.
6. She has started to take the pacifier a little more. She really only takes it when she wants to suck or go to sleep, which is fine with me because that means she isn't using me, which is what she would rather do.
7. She has lost quite a bit of hair since she was born. I mean, don't get me wrong, she still has hair, but it has thinned out a lot on the top, but it is still crazy monkey hair and I love it. I love putting bows in her hair and I hope she will be like Olivia and ask for bows in her hair when she older rather than pull them out.
8. She is a big time Momma's girl, which I love, but Jonathon is slowly trying to pull her to the dark side and make her a Daddy's girl. Which, in my opinion, isn't really fair since he already has Olivia. I guess that is my jealous side coming out.
9. We are working on getting on a better schedule, but when 7:30 p.m. rolls around, Claire wants her bath, wants to eat and be in bed by 8:00 p.m., which is nice because it is still early enough for Jonathon and I to go out and grab something to eat together, go to a movie, or go to a basketball game (yup, that's right, Jonathon and I were able to go to the Mavs vs. Nuggets game Monday night, and it was awesome! We had 4th row floor seats and we had a great time. I even caught a t-shirt that was thrown in the crowd.).
10. She has yet to be really sick, which is great. I mean, she did run the constant high fever for six days last month, but that has been it. When Olivia was this age, she had already had a cold, sinus infection and several ear infections. It has been nice having a happy, healthy baby.
Now, time for what you really came for, pictures. I have been really awful about taking pictures of her. Every time I go to use my camera, the stinkin' battery is dead. I have been using my phone to take a lot of pictures and once I figure out how to upload them from the phone to here, I will post more.

My dream floorplan
Go to this site and check out this layout! Jonathon and I are so in love with this floor plan and hopefully someday, we can have it (just different colors, it's a little too cool for my taste; I like warmer/darker colors).

Pictures!
These pictures were taken by Our 365 Photography. They are awesome! This is the same company who did Olivia's one month and one year photos. I love how this company works. They have the photographer come to your house and they set up the backdrops and the lights, and you can use your own toys and do the photo session right in your own home. The only downside to this company is the cost of their packages, but after speaking with a friend of mine, apparently they are pretty competitively priced.
As you will notice, Claire was as happy as a clam the whole time while Olivia was a booger and only smiled for a couple of the pictures. In her defense, I had to wake her up from her nap so she wasn't too happy. However, both girls are absolutely beautiful and the pictures turned out wonderful.
